Saturday, February 5th from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. In conjunction with Schoodic Institute’s Acadia Winter Festival, potters Anna Woolf and Neal LaSalle will demonstrate raku firing outside Rockefeller Hall, 1 Atterbury Circle, Winter Harbor. Participants will gain the hands-on experience of glazing as they learn about the firing process and witness the magical transformation that is unique to raku. This event is free. Thursday, February 10th from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm via Zoom: Virtual workshop. Needle Felted Snowy Owls with Maureen Andrew. Learn to sculpt these lifelike woodland birds using wool. Materials provided. Students have the option to pick up kits or receive them by mail prior to class. Register online at www.schoodicartsforall.org.
