Acadia National Park Advisory Commission

BAR HARBOR, MAINE — The Acadia National Park Advisory Commission will meet virtually at 1 pm on Monday, February 7. The meeting is open to the public and will include an opportunity for public comment.

Agenda topics include:
2021 park visitation
2022 visitor outlook and Transportation Plan, including vehicle reservations and Acadia Gateway Center
Construction projects, including the park headquarters maintenance facility
Great Meadow Culvert Replacement and Wetland Enhancement
Ecological Health of Otter Cove community science grant
Reports from the Schoodic Institute and Friends of Acadia

Congress created the Acadia National Park Advisory Commission in 1986 to consult with the National Park Service on matters relating to the management and development of the park, including, but not limited to, the acquisition of lands and interests in lands. The Commission is comprised of 16 members with three members appointed by the Secretary of Interior, three members appointed by the Governor of Maine, and one member appointed by each of the following towns: Bar Harbor, Cranberry Isles, Frenchboro, Gouldsboro, Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor, Swans Island, Tremont, Trenton and Winter Harbor.
